Founded in 1983 by Carlos Arellano, Southfields Real Estate was built on a deep understanding of land, legacy, and the equestrian way of life. After immigrating from Cuba, Carlos brought with him a rare  nowledge of agriculture and horsemanship. This expertise that became the foundation of one of Wellington’s most enduring real estate families.

Today, Southfields remains family-led, with Carlos joined by his three sons and grandson. Together, they have grown the firm into a respected boutique office defined by experience, discretion, and an intimate knowledge of the equestrian and agricultural landscape.

Carlos R. Arellano is the founder and broker of Southfields Real Estate, a Wellington institution he has owned and operated for over forty years. With an unmatched depth of knowledge in South Florida’s equestrian market, Carlos has spent his career guiding buyers, sellers, and developers through the unique world of horse farms, competition barns, and world-class polo fields.From helping design and develop state-of-the-art equestrian facilities to navigating the nuances of agricultural land in Palm Beach County, Carlos brings a hands-on expertise that only decades of dedicated work can build. He has played an integral role in shaping Wellington’s reputation as the premier destination for equestrian sport and lifestyle in the United States.More than a broker, Carlos is a family man at heart. His two sons, Julio and Diego, have joined him at Southfields, carrying on a legacy of integrity, horsemanship, and community, now extended into a third generation with his grandson Agustin. Agustin Arellano represents a new generation within Southfields. Holding a Certification as an International Property Specialist (CIPS) and a Master’s degree in Fashion and Luxury Business, he brings a fresh perspective to heritage real estate. Through his company, The Range, he works in conjunction with Southfields to introduce an experiential approach to sales, with a focus on positioning and celebretizing properties for a global, culturally relevant audience.
